[ played hooky that is. his work was his life and even though that was no longer the case, he still adhered to his responsibilities incredibly fiercely. ]
And I do not think you could stay in one place that long.
[ he sleeps at night and occasionally, if the day has been particularly trying, maybe he will fall asleep during the day but most of the time, if he naps with her, she sleeps and he stays awake. ]
There is nothing bad about that. I never said it was bad. It was merely an observation.
You might miss something exciting if you do not go in. [ not that he knows a lot about the missions and jobs she undertakes but there was sure to be something exciting in there every once in awhile. ]
We can lay down again when you're home. [ if that was what she wanted to do. ] There would be time then.
[ if it was exciting, she'd already be there — or have been called in and missed it, which would be worse. on days like today, she gets to enjoy the calmer sides of espionage. paperwork, more paperwork, and the occasional training session. mostly paperwork, though. ]
I'm sure they could live without me. [ but alas, she must move. she'd really rather stay in bed, but (gasp) he's right. she has to get out of it. ] But I'll tell you all about the fun I had when I get home.

[ she's not. or she wasn't, anyway. with a melodramatic sigh, daisy clambers out, dragging the covers with her. to her credit, though, once she's out of bed she's fairly quick to disrobe, pulling on clean underthings and heading into the closet to change.
