just because you don't feel like you fit doesn't mean you shouldn't share your opinions. we need more people who are willing to say what they think, no matter who agrees with them.
true. I am just not sure how much my opinions are useful here.
I come from a different situation and I admit it has... colored my ideas of what to do and how to do it. but I do not want that to make me act poorly in a world that is not the same as mine was.
yeah, i can get that. sometimes it's easier to be on your own. it feels like less people get hurt that way. doesn't always work out to be true, but it's an easy thing to lean on.
people have short memories here, though. they freak out about something for a minute but there's a different crisis a week later that takes their attention away. by the time that's over, they've half forgotten what they were upset about before.
That and I was different than others and had already seen that many people did not respond well to differences, even such things as someone being shorter.
I wandered and worked for a long time, staying at the fringe of things.
Very true. Back home, it always stunned me how quickly people forgot. Or stopped caring, or both.
you're not wrong. it's an unfortunate fact that people are dicks in all universes. we're just trying to change that, as much as we can. make things better for people who need it.

But thank you for both the making and the guidance.
It's appreciated.

all we can really do is say what we think and try to learn from someone else. i'm still trying to figure that part out for myself.

I was not really part of society for a long time. So participating openly is kind of... new to me.
[ And scary as hell. ]
